When driving, follow the signs leading to Meadowbrook State Parkway or Wantagh State Parkway; both lead to the Ocean Parkway, which will take you straight to Jones Beach. There is a $10 vehicle entrance toll.
- Quickest Route: Take the Belt Parkway from South Atlantic Avenue and Conduit Boulevard South. Follow the Belt Parkway and Southern State Parkway to Meadowbrook State Parkway South in Hempstead. (47-50 minutes)
- Quickest Route: Take Cross Island Parkway South and Southern State Parkway East to Meadowbrook Parkway South in Hempstead (1 hour- 1 hour 15 minutes).
If you choose to get to Jones Beach using Uber, Lyft or a traditional taxi service, depending on traffic, the average estimated taxi fare from Brooklyn to Jones Beach is $95-$100, including a 20% tip. From Manhattan, it is $100-$130.

It’s easy to take the train to Jones Beach from NYC. From Penn Station, take the Babylon line to Freeport. A taxi from Freeport to Jones Beach will take about 15 minutes and will cost around $25-$30, including a 20% tip. LIRR fares and schedules.
Memorial Day Weekend and daily from the last weekend in June through Labor Day, you could also take the Nassau Inter-County Express n88 NICE bus from the Freeport LIRR station, which runs non-stop throughout the summer to Jones Beach State Park’s two Bathhouses and the Central Mall.
